Why Double Cleanse
A good cleanse is the foundation of everything for your skin, and the only way to really cleanse your face is to double cleanse. Basically, if you wear makeup and sunscreen and you’re not double cleansing, your skin isn’t getting clean.
Double cleansing is a 2-step routine that starts with an oil-based cleanser then follows with a water-based cleanser.
Because only an oil can dissolve oil-based products like makeup + SPF, and only a water-based cleanser can remove impurities and clarify pores, you need both to take everything off and prevent buildup that can lead to clogged pores and breakouts.
When you double cleanse, skin is left thoroughly refreshed (not stripped), ready to soak up skincare, and primed for makeup.
Step 1:
Plump + Juicy Cleansing Oil
Melt away makeup, SPF, and excess sebum. This skin-loving cleansing oil thoroughly dissolves oil-based impurities to prepare skin for step 2 to work its magic.
With dry hands, massage a generous amount onto dry skin in circular motions. Add warm water to emulsify completely, then rinse.
Step 2:
Plump + Juicy Comfy Gel Cleanser
After using cleansing oil, wash away any residue with this step. This water-based cleanser deeply clarifies pores without stripping skin and replenishes essential moisture.
Gently massage into skin, rinse, and pat dry.
